The draw for the African Cup of Nations marks the official start of this flagship competition of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), scheduled for the end of December 2025 in Morocco.
The ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. local time and will bring together the delegations of the 24 qualified teams who will discover their opponents, specifies a press release from the governing body of continental football.

The nations will be divided into six groups of four while the best two from each group and the four best third-placed teams will advance to the round of 16 of the tournament.
Among the qualified countries, historic teams like Egypt (7 titles), Cameroon (5 titles) and Ivory Coast (3 titles), which will try to keep the trophy won at home in 2023.
Morocco, semi-finalist of the last World Cup, will aim for a second title after its victory in 1976. The other qualified nations also include former African champions like Ivory Coast, from Nigeria or Senegal.
CAN 2025 will begin on December 21, 2025 and end on January 18, 2026.
