Two ASSE players were selected in the French U16 team to compete in a double confrontation against Luxembourg. Back on his two meetings.
The 2009 generation also has its share of Stéphanois who wear the tricolor jersey. Indeed, the central defender Nathan Kasia and the explosive winger Mylan Toty are part of the rally. They both wear the star jersey in the national U17.
Two Stéphanois holders in the French team
The French U16 team dominated Luxembourg (3-0) this Tuesday, January 21 in Rumelange. Our two Greens were holders for this meeting and both played more than a half.
For their first release of the year 2025, the Blueberries had to wait until the 37th minute to open the scoring. Jules Bouffandeau found the way to the net thanks to a crossing cross at the entrance to the surface (1-0). After the break, Dee Shawn Jacinthe doubled a powerful head to the penalty point (57th, 2-0). At the end of the match, Djeewing Ilphonse, who came into play, provoked and transformed a penalty, thus sealing the tricolor victory (71st, 3-0).
A second act as a replacement
Despite the numerous changes made by coach José Alcocer at the start, the first period turns once again in favor of the Blueberries. The latter take the advantage thanks to Mathis Tony Loué, who superbly concludes an action initiated by Alexis Coquard (1-0, 36th).
-Upon recovery, the Luxembourgers pick up the score thanks to Scott Welter (1-1, 48th). But, on the following commitment, rented makes a double and immediately gives the advantage to the Tricolores (2-1, 49th).
Luxembourg does not let go and equalizes once again through Cristiano Alves Macedo (2-2, 64th). However, Dee Shawn Jacinthe, already a scorer on Tuesday, allows the French to go back in front. The blueberries could have aggravated the scoring at the end of the match, but the shot of the Stéphanois Mylan Toty crashes on the transverse bar. The score will stay there.
