A young 18-year-old driver from Quebec was intercepted at very high speed during the night from Monday to Tuesday on Highway 73, in Saint-Lambert-de-Lauzon.
Sûreté du Québec police officers caught the motorist at a speed of 177 km/h at kilometer 116 around 12:30 a.m.
The young man received a fine of $1,536 and 14 demerit points.
