Switzerland did not achieve an improbable feat at the Worlds in Herning. For her second match in the main round, she was beaten 39-28 by Denmark, the reigning Olympic and world champion.
The top scorers on the Swiss side were Noam Leopold and Felix Aellen, both authors of five goals. This expected defeat puts an end to the slim hopes of the selection led by Andy Schmid of securing a place in the quarter-finals. She will play third place in Group 1 on Saturday in her final match, against Italy.
In front of their audience, the Danes are almost untouchable. Since 2014, they have won 22 out of 24 matches in Herning, with one draw and one loss.
