Annie Genevard, Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty was in Morbihan this Thursday, January 23, for a quick visit to three companies: the Galliance chicken processing site in Languidic; the Paulic flour mill and the Altho-Brets chip maker in Saint-Gérand-Croixanvec.

Food sovereignty…

Three visits organized as part of Agri-Food Industry Week, for three companies described as “concrete examples of reconquering ’s food sovereignty”.

Annie Genevard notably recalled the support provided by the State for the development of these sectors.

At Altho, where she was able to discover the construction site of a second production site opposite the existing one, Annie Genevard toured the installations and in particular the production premises for chips, the arrival of potatoes until the boxes of finished products are shipped.

At the end of her three visits, and before continuing her tour of France of agri-food companies until the end of the week, the Minister of Agriculture praised the work of these Morbihan companies:

With the sub-prefect of Pontivy, Claire Liétard, the deputy, Nicole Le Peih, the departmental councilor, Soizic Perrault, the president of Pontivy Community, Bernard Le Breton and the mayor of Saint-Gérand-Croixanvec, Claude-Albert Le Bris , the visit was guided by Laurent Cavard, CEO of Altho.

At the end of the visit, the latter revealed a little indiscretion: aligot, candied garlic and falafel are all new flavors that the chip manufacturer should offer next spring…
