It was in the absence of several opposition elected officials, who decided to boycott the meetings following a heated debate that occurred last December during the last community council, that the elected representatives of Porte du Jura met this Wednesday, January 22 . A lightning meeting which gave rise to several deliberations.
Recruitment of a communications manager
“We need to create effective communication tools to publicize the diversity of our activities,” said President Christian Buchot. A call for applications for this position was launched last November to recruit a project manager. It did not allow “relevant profiles to be identified”.
It was therefore towards a communications manager already working “in another community” (in this case the department, Editor’s note) that the choice was made. Jean-Michel Hugues Dit Ciles will now be in charge of communications for Porte du Jura for 1,300 euros per month for part-time in the form of a service contract. He will have to produce written publications and host social networks. This recruitment has been validated.
A new premises for the family association
President Christian Buchot informed the assembly that he had signed an agreement for the provision of premises to the Cousance Family Association which manages the “Paniers du cœur” in the Porte du Jura territory. Previously, the association had occupied the premises of the community of communes since 2017. She stored her goods in a cellar and sat in a meeting room for 2 days every 15 days. “It didn’t suit either of us,” the president commented.
A space of 230m2 on one level, “very well located” was found in Cousance. The community of municipalities will cover the rent which amounts to 400 euros per month but also the additional charges. In the region, “the Family Association has more than 350 beneficiaries,” said the mayor of Val-Sonnette.
-A donation for Mayotte
After the passage of the cyclone which devastated the island of Mayotte, the association of mayors of France, with several partners, called on municipalities and intercommunities to participate in national solidarity. The Porte du Jura community of communes intends to contribute 3,000 euros in the form of a donation to civil protection.
After the marriage of Sainte-Agnès and Val-Sonnette
The recent regrouping of the two municipalities forces the council to modify its table of community delegates in 2025. The statutes provide that “when a new municipality is created […]its number of seats is equal to the sum of the two former communes”. The three delegates from Val-Sonnette and that from Sainte-Agnès add up to form four. The faces don't change either: they are Brigitte Monnet, Catherine Fournier, Isabelle Pacou and Marc Bongini.
