Saint-Denis in the footsteps of the very first woman deputy mayor in France, a century after her election

At the time, women did not yet have the right to vote or, de facto, to stand for election. A few days after the election of Marie Chaix, the latter was invalidated by the prefecture. In 2022, the municipality of Saint-Denis decided to name the municipal council room after this embroiderer with a little-known career. She also issued an appeal to her possible descendants.
