This meeting was an opportunity to examine ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in the field of seawater desalination, water interconnection between basins and common cooperation. with a view to creating mobile seawater desalination stations.

Led by Mr. Baraka, the Moroccan delegation taking part in the High-Level Forum on Financing Water Development for the MENA region includes in particular the Director General of Hydraulic Engineering at the ministry, Abdelaziz Zerouali, and the Ambassador of Morocco in Kuwait, Ali Benaissa.

Initiated by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (FADES), in partnership with the World Bank, this Forum focuses on improving water management, promoting water saving technologies, unlocking the funding for essential projects, as well as the review of related policies and regulations.
