And terrible event occurred in the town of Loubès-Bernac, in Lot-et-Garonne, this Thursday, January 23, 2025. Around 3 a.m., the firefighters were alerted of a fire of a residential house belonging to a religious community.
Nine people evacuated and relocated
The flames completely devastated the area of 250 m2 environ. There were nine people in this house at the time. They were evacuated before the arrival of firefighters and were relocated by other members of the same religious community.
At the maximum of the intervention, four lances were established by the 27 firefighters located on the premises. In addition, three fire engines, an aerial means, a water carrier, three command vehicles, an ambulance and a nurse were dispatched to the scene.
-L’intervention lasted several hours since at the start of the morning, firefighters were still on the scene.
