Senegal and Morocco have ratified an agreement for the transfer of convicted persons

Senegal and Morocco have ratified an agreement for the transfer of convicted persons and assistance to detainees. The announcement was made this Wednesday, January 22, 2025, on the sidelines of the Council of Ministers chaired by the Head of State, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye.

As regards legislative and regulatory texts, the Council examined and adopted: the draft decree authorizing the President of the Republic to ratify the Convention between the Government of the Republic of Senegal and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco on assistance to persons detained and on the transfer of convicted persons, signed on December 17, 2004 in Rabat (Morocco)
