The procedure was initiated by a letter from the President of the House of Representatives, dated January 15, 2025, requesting the dismissal of Mohamed Boudrika. According to the documents examined, in particular the minutes of the meeting of the Bureau of the Chamber held on January 13, 2025, it is established that the deputy received 41 formal warnings, transmitted by bailiff to his official address. No supporting documentation was provided in response to these repeated requests.
In accordance with Article 12 bis of Organic Law No. 27.11 governing the House of Representatives, Boudrika’s prolonged absence was deemed incompatible with the requirements of his mandate. The Constitutional Court therefore declared the vacancy of his seat, thus paving the way for his replacement by the next candidate on the electoral list.
Already dismissed last May from his post as president of the council of the Mers Sultan constituency for similar reasons, Boudrika is also facing international legal disputes. Arrested in July in Germany on the basis of an international arrest warrant issued by Morocco, he is awaiting a decision concerning his extradition.
-With this official forfeiture, the seat of the Al Fida-Mers Sultan constituency will be allocated to the next eligible candidate on the same electoral list.
