We mentioned it earlier on Tuesday, Paris SG became the third club to claim the highest turnover in international football, based on revenues from operational matters, that is to say say independently of transfer market revenues. As of June 30, 2024, PSG ended the season with a total revenue of 806 million euros.
The club had already communicated earlier last fall, the details of each of the revenue lines, namely 178 million euros received from TV rights, 282 million euros in commercial revenue, 168 million from ticketing, 39 millions from merchandising and the rest from other products.
PSG is third but clubs are missing in the ranking
According to the ranking unveiled this Wednesday by Football Benchmark, Paris SG ranks third behind Manchester City (€838 million) and especially Real Madrid, European champion on the sporting field and on the financial aspect with a turnover more than a billion euros. This is an unprecedented and historic first in the world of the discipline.
-This ranking of the 25 clubs which generated the most revenue in 2024 must however be qualified by the fact that it is based on the details of the clubs having communicated their financial performance recorded in the balance sheet of last season. Understand that there are some notable players missing, particularly from England (Arsenal, Liverpool, etc.), from the German giant Bayern Munich or possibly from French clubs, Olympique de Marseille or Olympique Lyonnais.
