Solidaris notes that more than 75% of Brussels retirees over 69 and around 50% of Walloons are no longer able to cover costs with their gross pension. “Women, whose pension is on average €405 lower than that of men, are particularly vulnerable.”

It calls for action on the prices of rest homes, including the introduction of a maximum bill adapted to residents’ income.
