There will be a change for logging into a Microsoft account in a web browser. Starting in February, an activated account will remain activated until the user manually deactivates it. Be careful with PCs used in public.
To use an online service Microsoftsuch as an Office webapp or simply to take a look at your emails, you obviously have to connect to it by entering your account information. Microsoft offers to keep these identifiers so as not to have to enter them all the time, but by default this function is disabled. This behavior will change from February.
The danger of shared PCs
In a few weeks, the connection will be retained automatically, unless disconnected manually or when using private browsing. In the case of connecting to your own computer, this does not pose a huge problem, unless the PC is shared with other members of the household. You will have to remember to disconnect or use private browsing to avoid possible family troubles!
Advice that should also be followed on PCs used by several people, in a café, a library, at university, or even in business. In this case, private browsing is strongly recommended because it prevents the recording of history, cookies and site data. All browsers offer this function (see the Microsoft support sheet).
Otherwise, you will have to remember to log out of the account once the online work is finished. In the browser, click on the profile image at the top right, then select the logout option. Think about it, because your personal data will be accessible to anyone.
