Significant resources were launched on Tuesday January 21 in the early evening to try to find the trace of Rémy Fillion.
This 78-year-old man, dressed in a red fleece jacket, apparently got lost after going during the day to a forest in the town of Ballaison to cut wood. His family, worried about not seeing him return home throughout the evening, then alerted the emergency services.

A first search was organized during the evening with the friends and family of the missing person, quickly joined by the firefighters and the gendarmerie, who notably called on air (drones) and land resources with search dogs.
A device unfortunately insufficient to find the septuagenarian, with searches made complicated by the darkness and the weather conditions, in particular because of the fog.
This is why a new hunt was organized this Wednesday morning from 8 a.m. departing from Ballaison town hall.
