Saint-Étienne-Lardeyrol. Marc Giraud presented his wishes to the population. Mayor Marc Giraud presented his wishes to the population in the presence of MP Laurent Wauquiez, the president of the Puy Agglomeration community Michel Chapuis, and departmental councilor Fanny Sabatier.
As a preamble, he paid tribute to his deputy Michel Bouchet, who died last July, and to Michel Joubert who died at the beginning of September.
In order to remedy the regular declines in allocations, the municipality has decided for many years to carry out as many of its projects as possible under municipal management and has chosen competent staff to carry them out.
He recalled the various works carried out in 2024: the installation of a fire hydrant in the Lachaud de Combriol sector, the renovation of the hairdressing salon which changed ownership, the development of a new canteen and a daycare space at the school, the creation of a square and a new access to the town hall in continuation of the development of Place Antoinette-Moulin.
The mayor then recalled that many associations run the town throughout the year.
-The 2025 projects were mentioned: the end of road works, sanitation work and burying of lines at the Sert subdivision, carried out by the Agglomeration community, security work with funding for police fines, the continuation of the renovation of the old school building, with the creation of a new professional premises, the rehabilitation of the second floor apartments, and the installation of an elevator. Consideration will be given to the creation of a wood heating network in the town center (old school building, multi-services, old rectory apartments, etc.). A study is underway for the development of the school yard.
The population census continues until February 15.
After Marc Giraud's speech, the personalities present took the floor. Laurent Wauquiez presented the Region's medal to team leader Gilles Rousson to thank him for the quality of his work. A gift was then given to the newborns and a plant to the parents.
The ceremony ended with the traditional cake.
