These works are only the logical continuation of the evolution of the building built in the 70s. It is a former home for adults and retirees. Over the years and developments, it has become an establishment for dependent elderly people.

The last major rehabilitation works date from the beginning of the 21^e century
. Even before the start of the current project, an agreement was reached between Habitat du Gard, the municipality of La Grand-Combe and the management of the Maurice Larguier nursing home.

The current parking lot is temporarily no longer accessible. At the end of the project, a new space will welcome all visitors. It will be better laid out and larger than the old one.

The first two have undertaken to give in for 1 symbolic euro at the Gard health establishment different plots of land adjoining the site to accommodate the extension planned for the current project.

Once the work is completed, there will no longer be any double rooms in this health establishment. “The aim of this major work session is to maximize resident comfortand to allow everyone to benefit from a single room confortable », Explains management.

Also, the building will be equipped with a secure space. “Equipped with 18 single beds, it is exclusively intended for disoriented, fragile elderly people», specifies Marion Hilaire.

At the start of 2025, the work “continues and the schedule is to date respected», concludes, positively, the director.
