Dakar, Jan 21 (APS) – The Minister of the Interior and Public Security reassured, Tuesday, of the “correct” and “total” satisfaction of the expectations expressed by the organizing committee of the 145e anniversary of Seydina Limamoulaye’s Appeal for a ”perfect success” of this religious event planned in Dakar, on January 30 and 31.
”The governor of the Dakar region will take the necessary measures to support the organizing committee in the preparation and correct and total management of all the concerns it has expressed,” declared General Jean Baptiste Tina.
The minister spoke thus during the national preparatory meeting for the commemoration of the 145th edition of the Appeal of Seydina Limamou Laye, held in the premises of the ministry.
”I will make all appropriate arrangements so that this 2025 edition of the commemoration of the call of Seydina Limamou Laye, which is a major event in our national religious calendar, is a complete success,” he assured.
Representatives of several public services, including security, health, hygiene, etc., took part in the preparatory meeting for this annual religious event which attracts several thousand Muslim faithful.
Each, with regard to their sector, reiterated their commitments to supporting the organizing committee.
-This 145th edition is placed under the theme: ”Islamic values and sustainable development in the light of the teachers of Seydina Limamou Laye”.
