Could you tell us about the origins of your company and its specificities, particularly logistics?
As part of the Chinese group Aosom E-commerce Inc., we are owned by its English subsidiary. Internationally, the group is present in Europe (France, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy and Romania), but also in North America, Canada and the United States. The main activity, common to all subsidiaries, concerns the import and sale of manufactured products in the world of home furnishings: indoor, outdoor, sports, leisure and furniture products. DIY… In France, we have also developed, due to our expertise in e-commerce logistics, 3PL logistics services, on behalf of third parties, which we make available to French and foreign partners wishing to develop in the territory. In addition to sales, we offer storage, order preparation, delivery to the carrier, and we take care of after-sales service.
How are your activities, your results and your workforce evolving?
Although our results for the year 2024 are not yet consolidated, we are at around 24% growth, and have well exceeded 100 million euros in turnover, all activities combined: BtoB e-retailer, and BtoC in logistics services. This latest activity, launched two and a half years ago, has doubled or even tripled in one year. Concerning our workforce, we currently number 90, but should quickly reach 150 employees with our current capacities; that is to say without counting the next Boisseaux site, which will also bring other hires, varying depending on the evolution of the demands and needs of our customers. We are actively recruiting and are looking for forklift operators, team leaders, stock managers and pickers.
What were the main criteria that led you to opt for this future Boisseaux warehouse, of impressive size?
The main criterion relates to its location in the Central region. Shipping our products throughout France, and now Europe, we need to be close to our carriers, many of whom are located south of the Paris region, so that they are able to deliver orders for the next day. As for the size of the platform, this is explained because we most certainly plan to offer, in addition to our e-commerce activities and logistics services, warehouse rental.
