In response to two questions on “the implementation of the official character of Amazigh” during the oral questions session, Ms. Seghrouchni explained that 464 Amazigh-speaking agents are currently deployed at the central and decentralized levels, reporting on the programming of recruitment during this year of 1840 Amazigh-speaking agents, in addition to the mobilization of 69 Amazigh-speaking agents in 10 call centers.

Regarding signage within public administrations, she indicated that the Amazigh language has been inscribed on 3,000 panels and signs distributed in seven administrations, adding that action is currently underway to include the Amazigh language in more than 1,000 signs and signs, including in embassies and consulates.

Regarding official websites, Ms. Seghrouchni indicated that the Amazigh language was included in 10 official websites, as an experimental phase, with the aim of generalizing it to all official websites of public administrations, in addition to support the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports in the creation of a “platform” for learning the Amazigh language online for the benefit of students.

According to Ms. Seghrouchni, the translation of plenary sessions of oral questions in the chambers of representatives and advisors and the translation of all weekly press conferences of the government spokesperson reflect the government’s desire to promote communication in the Amazigh language, in more of the role played by the ministry in the development of Amazigh culture by supporting a series of cultural activities and events throughout the year.

She also underlined the active involvement of all public administrations through the signing, on the occasion of the Amazigh New Year 2975, of 13 partnership agreements relating to the implementation of the officialization of Amazigh.

The government is keen to implement the provisions of organic law 26.16, which defines the stages of implementing the official character of Amazigh as well as the modalities of its integration in education and in priority areas of life public.

Likewise, the ministry revised the legal and regulatory framework of the Fund for the Modernization of Public Administration (FOMAP), support for the digital transition and the use of the Amazigh language, including it among the areas supported through the fund, as well as by creating a department responsible for developing the use of the Amazigh language in the ministry’s organizational chart, she noted.
