Since January 1, 2025, two new world records have been set by the UCI for women: the standing start kilometer and the 4 kilometers, the new pursuit distance.

The first holders of these world records are French. During the French Championship in Loudéac, at the beginning of January, Taky Marie-Divine Kouamé (Créteil Kronos) set the kilometer mark in 1'08″399 and Marion Borras (Cofidis) covered the 4 km in 4'42″ 730.

The International Union has made these records official on its website. These are the first two world records established on the Loudéac velodrome track.
