The week of January 20 to 26, 2025 will be marked by the return of disturbances accompanied by a net redoux in Côte-d’Or. Thibault Mascia, founder of Météo Côte-d'Or, announces a notable change in weather conditions after a period dominated by an anticyclone.
An ocean flow that brings back sweetness
“The anticyclone that has covered us until now is weakening, and we are going to witness the return of an ocean flow. » explains Thibault Mascia. This southwesterly flow will bring mild air to France and the region, with temperatures reaching or exceeding 10 degrees in the plain. “Some scenarios even envisage peaks at 15 degrees ! » he adds.
Wooded areas, where frost has persisted for several days, will also see an improvement. “It's been ten days since these areas thawed, but this mildness will bring the temperatures down above zero »specifies the expert.
Return of clouds, rain and wind on the program
Despite this mildness, the weather will not be good. “The clouds are returning and we will have a first disturbance on Wednesday, with rain and gusts of wind which could reach 60 to 70 km/h »warns Thibault Mascia. This disrupted weather will continue until the end of January, with mild weather but marked by regular rainy periods.
-Fortunately, no extreme phenomena are expected. “No storm, no wind very violent or heavy amounts of rain, just a few occasional gusts and precipitation moderate,” he reassures.
A preview for early February
Although long-term forecasts are still uncertain, Thibault Mascia sees a possible change at the beginning of February: “The anticyclone could return, bringing calm weather but with a lot of fog. Under certain conditions, we could even observe industrial snow »he concludes.
