The State of Senegal sends a delegation to Touba

Following the death of Serigne Dame Atta Mbacké, a pillar of the Mouride brotherhood last Friday, the State of Senegal sent a high-level delegation to Touba to present its condolences to the family and the Mouride community.

This delegation, led by Minister Moussa Bala Fofana, also included the honorable deputy Serigne Cheikh Thioro Mbacké and the businessman Cheikh Thiam. They praised the spiritual impact and the role of Serigne Dame Atta Mbacké in the development of Senegal.

A large religious ceremony is planned for today, Monday, in the “Makhaama Ibrahima” district, to pay tribute to Serigne Dame Atta Mbacké.

Serigne Fallou Mbacké, new Caliph, expressed his gratitude to the State, President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, as well as the support of Mr. Ousmane Sonko and Cheikh Thiam. The ceremony concluded with prayers and devotions.
