UEFA has appointed the referee for the crucial match between Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City, and it is not going to make the French champions smile.
The PSG-City shock will be followed by all of Europe on Wednesday evening, because the two financial monsters are in danger in the Champions League, especially Paris. To arbitrate this shock, UEFA chose Szymon Marciniak, the famous Polish official who leaves not only good memories with French and Parisian supporters. Szymon Marciniak was obviously the referee for the World Cup final between France and Argentina in 2022, but more recently he also officiated in Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League defeat at the Parc des Princes at the last second on an assassinated counterattack from Atlético de Madrid.
