Health: Sports Saturdays to get back in shape

The Maison Sport Santé in Métropole is launching “Health Sports Saturdays”, supervised sessions to discover different physical activities, from Saturday January 25 with a healthy swimming session.

It's the start of the year and the perfect time to make good resolutions. Among them, why not get back into physical activity? The Maison Sport Santé in Amiens Métropole responds to this call with the Sports Health Saturdaysa unique sports discovery program. Organized one Saturday per month, these supervised sessions allow participants to try a variety of physical activities within local partner clubs.

First session: swimming

The kick-off of this sporting initiative will be given on Saturday January 25with a swimming session which will be held in the modern facilities of the Coliseum, in close collaboration with the Amiens Métropole Natation club. On this occasion, two distinct time slots will be offered in order to meet everyone's availability: the first will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., while the second will take place from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m..

These swimming sessions are specifically aimed at an adult audience, whether or not affected by pathologies, with the aim of promoting sporting practice adapted to the needs of each individual. Interested participants must register in advance, either by telephone or e-mail, to guarantee their participation.

These sessions have been designed and developed to initiate or support all people wishing to engage in physical activity. They aim to be inclusive and accessible to all, with professional and attentive supervision, in order to ensure a friendly and safe environment.

A device for health

These Saturdays are part of the 2021-2026 metropolitan sports project, which aims to facilitate access to sport, whatever the profile and needs of residents. La Maison Sport Santé works to encourage the practice of physical activity in collaboration with local partner clubs. To reinforce this commitment, Amiens Métropole contributes financially to the tune of €50 for any sports license subscribed within this framework.
