Ytrac, Sansac, Lacapelle-Viescamp, Saint-Paul-des-Landes and Ayrens, 5 municipalities in the Ouest Agglo are experimenting with the “Rouages” system. This is a mobility aid to help residents who are unable to travel.
Solidarity mobility
Cogs for Driving in the Agglo West Together and In Solidarity. This solidarity mobility system was launched as part of the Sustainable Mobility cluster. In 2023, 5 municipalities in the Ouest Agglo territory were chosen to test it. The originality of the project lies in its co-construction. David Revel, Rouages project manager
We, as an association, really supervised the system, but it was created from scratch by residents and elected officials. That is to say that we have both volunteers and beneficiaries who have reported before the project even starts. They attended workshops, we did 6 during the year 2024. They attended all these workshops with the elected officials who were there each time as well, with the members of the CCAS, with the Red Cross, with the social center of the commune of Ytrac as well. Everything was decided during these meetings. The prices were discussed, the volunteers' compensation, also the type of support that was requested and a whole charter of good conduct which was published, where each point was validated and even proposed by these residents.
In testing for a month in the 5 municipalities, the project already welcomes 60 beneficiaries and around fifteen volunteer drivers. If you live in one of these municipalities, you can register by calling 07 50 56 15 62 or email [email protected].
