why the OFB was the target of “Snow White” of CR 34

The sites of theFrench Biodiversity Office -OFB- wrote Perols, Grabels et Bédarieux were the target of the Rural coordination of Hérault -CR 34-, this Sunday, January 19, 2025 in the evening. We explain why.

After « Tic Tac Boom »here is the operation called “Snow White” which was prepared and coordinated, this Sunday from nightfall, because the activists remain pumped up like the alarm tick tock boom): around 6 p.m., special convoys (dump truck and agricultural tractor) simultaneously invaded the entrances to the sites of the French Biodiversity Office -OFB_ of Hérault, two located at the gates of Montpellier, in the north in Grabels, in the south in Pérols, the third in Bédarieux to protest against the “accusations serious, unfounded and defamatory cases recently brought against us by an OFB agent, calling us a drug dealer. We didn't sell heroin or cocaine”, fumes this evening to MetropolitanArnaud Poitrine, spokesperson for CR 34.

Hence the name “Snow White” for this spectacular operation, since the farmers and wine growers of the Hérault Rural Coordination, recognizable by their yellow hats since they have been carrying out peaceful actions – there has never been any damage – particularly against large-scale distribution, Public Finance, banks and MSA agencies, almost everywhere in the department, have laid down carpets of products white to make drug traffickers salivate!

Plaster and flour

But Pps of drugs to be dropped this Sunday evening in Pérols, Grabels and Bédarieux, but instead, hundreds of kilos of plaster and flourlittering the ground in front of the access barriers to the OFB. With as usual, messages traced on the ground with paint, yellow and green in this case for these Sunday raids. A “Snow White” operation without the seven dwarfs which was not cinema.

“No Cowboys Here”

We can thus read in large letters “Farmer not dealer” or ¨No Cowboys here” with the essential signature CR 34. The gendarmerie and national police services were dispatched to the scene, while the convoys had already left the scene. Arnaud Poitrine is not upset about the behavior attributed to certain agents of the French Office for Biodiversity of Hérault, which explains why they are dressed as “cow boys”.

The spokesperson for CR 34 testifies with his outspokenness: “We are fed up with these state agents who come to work and discussion meetings to find solutions with their guns in their belts and who spend their day hiding in embankments to watch us and fine us as soon as we cut a small tree branch.”

Drug traffickers

And Arnaud Poitrine firmly warns: “As of this Sunday evening, we demand an apology for these accusations of dealers and we refuse the controls”. This strong reaction and this position of CR 34 therefore come after on a national radio, this Wednesday, an OFB agent compared farmers complaining about controls of this environmental police – hence the arming that she carries legally- from drug traffickers. Enough to ignite the powder, but not the ones that dealers regularly sniff in the deal points…
