The facts allegedly occurred this Saturday, January 18. Two rebellious activists put up posters in the 16th arrondissement of Marseille. “While they were in front of the Saint-Henri Raphel 2 school, around 2:30 p.m., individuals close to members of the Socialist Party Sébastien and Henri Jibrayel, present on the scene and giving orders according to the activists' testimonies, attacked them physically. The metropolitan councilor and elected socialist of the sector Lyece Choulak was also present“, declares Sébastien Delogu, La France insoumise deputy for the 7th constituency of Bouches-du-Rhône, in a press release, shared on his X account.
One of the two activists would have 10 days of total incapacity for work while the second still has to carry out medical examinations. “Two complaints were filed Saturday at the 15th arrondissement police station for aggravated violence“, points out the press release. The LFI deputy also announces his wish to contact the public prosecutor.

Accusations completely refuted by Sébastien Jibrayel, deputy mayor (PS) of Marseille delegate for Sport. “These are lies, I am against violence, I would never have asked for such a thing“, he points out. According to him, it was more of an altercation between activists, but “without violent blows“.
