In 2019, Ornaise Iris Nenciu joined the prestigious Sciences Po Paris school. Six years later and her master's degree in hand, the resident of Vrigny, near Argentan (Orne), has embarked on a new adventure.
With her friend Inès Geoffray, she has just launched I Supérieur, a preparation intended in particular for candidates for the Sciences Po competition. Interview.
Actu.fr. You have just launched “support” for the Sciences Po competition. How does it differ from that offered by other preparations?
Iris Nenciu. We offer preparation focused on individual and personalized monitoring. It seemed important to us to move away from the “single profile” model, which we can sometimes find in certain preparatory courses. Our support is very flexible. It is done remotely. It’s truly à la carte, adapted to everyone. When I applied to Sciences Po, I would have liked to find that again.
Actu.fr. For what ?
IN In recent years, the conditions for the entrance exam to Sciences Po have changed significantly. The candidate profile is increasingly studied. Personally, when I applied, I did not highlight my background, my qualities, my skills enough. Today, it is essential. The candidate must have confidence in himself, in his career. We want to show with our preparation that life in the provinces is not a hindrance. The Grandes Écoles are looking for very good, but diverse profiles, with different ways of thinking.
-Actu.fr. This is what you are trying to get across to your students.
IN Yes! It’s important to know how to highlight your journey. We rely a lot on our internal knowledge of Sciences Po. We also have a large circle of acquaintances. Students residing in Canada and Egypt have already joined us.
Actu.fr. Concretely, how does student monitoring take place?
IN We first offer an initial presentation call, then we define a support model. On the preparation side for Parcoursup, we will work a lot on the different alternatives. We have also established partnerships with high schools. An individual session costs between 50 and 60 euros per hour, depending on the route chosen. This is certainly a significant cost, but we are thinking of ways to make our preparation more accessible. We also offer free of charge (on request by email) a Parcoursup guide summarizing the dates and methods of registration.
Prep I Higher. Rates: 50 to 60 euros per hour. Contact: 07 49 61 21 47, [email protected]
