Nightclub bouncer shot dead in , suspect on the run

A 38-year-old man, a nightclub bouncer, was killed on the night of Saturday to Sunday, January 19, in front of an establishment in the 11th arrondissement of Marseille, reports “ici Provence”.

According to the Marseille prosecutor's office, there was a dispute between the nightclub and the suspect. The latter came armed in front of the nightclub and killed the bouncer with a bullet in the head, shooting through the door, before fleeing. The bullet holes, at head height, were still visible at the scene the day after the incident on Sunday.

Aged 38, the victim died on the spot shortly before 4 a.m., firefighters said. An investigation into flagrant murder was opened and entrusted to the judicial police.
