“Chemin de Granet”, an address away from the big city, in the countryside of Aix-en-Provence. Here, residents live in residences or villas, but they all live at the same number: 1335.
Not easy for Romain Martel. He is a “flying” postman, that is to say he makes different rounds every day, according to needs. To help him locate, he only has a simple map of the site.
“Around thirty villas, a battery of mailboxes, it’s true that that’s a lot of names: 60-70 in total“, recognizes the postman. “It's quite tricky to file, organize the mail, and do the rounds.“
Even if a postman comes every day, from Monday to Saturday, not all mail necessarily reaches the right recipients or not quickly enough.
“When I see registered notices that arrive five days later, that's not normal either“, says Jean-Noël, a local resident.

“It is very important that La Poste is involved as soon as the project is imagined.“, continues Sébastien Kayed, the local director of La Poste, “so that we know exactly where to locate the mailboxes and under what conditions, this is what we call postal connection.“

“We sometimes go three weeks in a row without an envelope, without a magazine!“, wonders Christophe, who lives here. “We subscribe to magazines and we haven't received them since July!“
I was ready to go get the mail where it was returned from the moment it is not delivered, but I was not given an answer as to what happened to our mail.

Christophe continues: “check books, a credit card, the code number of the credit card, everything is in this unarrived mail…“
Other municipalities would also be affected in Bouches-du-Rhône, such as Luynes and Eguilles.
