Competition is raging in the MVNO market, these virtual operators which offer mobile plans generous in data, but which generally display aggressive monthly rates. During these winter sales, Lyca Mobile is in the spotlight since this operator offers no less than 300 GB of 5G for less than 8 euros per month.

What does this Lyca Mobile plan offer?

• 300 GB of 5G data in mainland France, including 13 GB usable in the EU

Currently, Lyca Mobile's 5G 300 GB plan is offered at 7.99 euros per month. The SIM card, and even the eSIM, are free. Please note, to benefit from this reduced price at each renewal, you will need to leave automatic renewal activated.

The package for Internet addicts

Notice to all those who spend a lot of time on their smartphone, feeding their social networks, watching series episodes in streaming and playing online for several hours: the 5G package currently offered by Lyca Mobile should be good for you agree. It is in fact an envelope of 300 GB of data that this MVNO makes available to users; more than enough to no longer find yourself short of GB from the 10th of the month. And thanks to the 5G network, users can benefit from much faster speeds than 4G and lower latency on their smartphone, which must of course be compatible.

Furthermore, for those planning to travel within the European Union, please note that you will be entitled to 13 GB of data for use in the EU and the European Economic Area. But be careful, they will be deducted from the overall envelope. We therefore advise you to monitor Wi-Fi networks as soon as possible to save GB.

A good network is key

On the communications side, Lyca Mobile offers unlimited calls and SMS in mainland France, as well as from the European Union to mainland France. However, note that calls are unlimited up to a maximum of 2 hours per call, and up to a maximum of 99 different recipients during the duration of the offer.

Finally, Lyca Mobile is an MVNO which relies on the infrastructures of Bouygues Télécom, a network which will therefore be automatically assigned to you as soon as the package is started. In 4G, the operator covers more than 99% of the population and 96% of the metropolitan territory according to ARCEP. On the 5G side, Bouygues Télécom is in third place, behind Orange and SFR, regarding 3.5 GHz sites, with 7,408 sites at present, again according to ARCEP.

And if you want to change your plan, but keep your phone number, you can request it for free.

You will simply need to bring your RIO (we explain how to recover it here) and provide it to your new operator when ordering the package. The latter will then be responsible for transferring your mobile phone number free of charge to the new line. The change of operator will thus be done without interruption.
