The meeting place for mountain and ice waterfall enthusiasts took place this weekend at Argentière-la-Bessée for its 35th edition. Ice Climbing Écrins welcomes nearly 500 enthusiasts who come to explore ice climbing and other winter activities. On the program: three days of workshops supervised by 60 high mountain guides, offering initiation and improvement in ice climbing, ski touring, snowshoeing, splitboarding, and more… New this year: the workshop hot and cold, mixing barefoot walking in the snow and sweat lodges. The event also highlights crucial environmental issues. This year, the theme of soft mobility is at the center of discussions. Between round tables led by emblematic figures like Caroline Ciavaldini and challenges such as “slow travel”, ICE 2025 invites us to think about the sustainability of mountain activities. With its village of partners offering cutting-edge equipment for testing, conferences and landscapes, ICE demonstrates once again why it is a reference in Europe for glacier climbers and peak lovers.
