Since its launch in July 2022, Morocco has issued 385,738 electronic visas until the end of 2024. Among them, nearly 366,451 e-visas were granted for tourist purposes, demonstrating the crucial role of this device in facilitating travel.
«By offering a digitalized and efficient visa procedure, Morocco has not only strengthened its tourism systems, but also reaffirmed its commitment to welcoming a diversity of travelers, allowing them to discover the richness of its culture and landscapes.», Underlines the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy in a press release.
In 2024, data shows a 6% growth in e-visas issued compared to the previous year. On average, 13,500 e-visas are granted each month, with a notable peak of 16,900 visas issued in November 2024.

-Visitors from 111 nationalities took advantage of this simplified procedure in 2024, reflecting Morocco’s desire to diversify its tourism markets. India stands out with 36,690 e-visas issued, an increase of 52% compared to 2023. Other countries also recorded significant increases: Pakistan (+100%), Nigeria (+36%) and Egypt (+ 45%).
The e-visa is a single-person authorization, valid for a stay of up to 30 days, with a validity of 180 days from its date of issue. Applications can be made online via the official platform with processing times of 24 hours for Visa Express or 72 hours for Visa Standard.
