In a joint statement published at the end of the bilateral meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, and the Liberian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sara Beysolow Nyanti, both The parties also welcomed the strong bonds of fraternity and solidarity which unite the two countries and reaffirmed the shared desire to make the Moroccan-Liberian partnership an exceptional model of inter-African cooperation, based on the values ​​of solidarity and support. mutual.

In this regard, the two ministers reviewed the fruitful cooperation between the two countries in all areas of common interest and expressed satisfaction with the progress made in various areas, while reaffirming their commitment to exploring new avenues of cooperation in priority areas such as investment, industry, trade, fisheries and renewable energy, health, water, education, infrastructure, women’s rights and mining.

Recognizing the significant economic potential offered by the two countries, Mr. Bourita and Ms. Nyanti agreed to further intensify their efforts to develop and diversify trade, establish a mutually beneficial economic partnership and increase bilateral trade, by inviting communities business of the two countries to take advantage of the opportunities offered by Morocco and Liberia.

In this regard, Mr. Bourita reiterated the willingness of the Kingdom of Morocco to contribute to the implementation of the National Development Plan of the Republic of Liberia, aimed at providing basic social services and promoting social and economic development in the country.

At the end of the work of this Joint Cooperation Commission, the two parties signed several legal instruments in the fields of industry, commercial cooperation, mining exploration and research, justice and the rule of law, integrated management of water resources, social development, crafts and the social and solidarity economy, tourism, youth, training of health professionals, education, vocational training and granting scholarships studies, internships and sharing of expertise.
