A young 22-year-old driver was seriously injured on the night of Thursday to Friday when he hit the back of a truck while traveling at high speed on Boulevard Dagenais Est, in the Vimont district, in . We fear for our lives.

According to officer Laurent Arsenault of the Laval Police Department, emergency services received a call around 3:15 a.m. to report a collision between a car traveling at high speed and a cube truck parked on the side of the road.

With the car completely stuck under the rear of the truck, firefighters had to use tow trucks to remove the carcass from the car and rescue the seriously injured driver. It took around forty minutes to get the man out of the car. Fortunately, no passengers were with him.

The 22-year-old man was taken to hospital where his life is feared.

Boulevard Dagenais Est was closed westbound between Murcie and Berthiaume streets to allow investigators and reconstructionists to determine the causes and circumstances of this violent collision.
