Ben Gvir clearly opposed the agreement. The Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir confirmed how bad he felt about this agreement, after announcing that he would leave the government if the latter validated it. In a reaction sent today, the far-right leader confirmed his apprehensions: “Until yesterday I was terrified by this agreement. Today, when we learn that terrorists serving life sentences will be released in Jerusalem, in Judea and Samaria, when everyone knows that they will again try to harm, to kill, I am still more terrified.” To the other parties making up the government, which will make a decision at the start of the afternoon, he urges: “It’s not too late yet, we are before a government meeting, we can stop this deal, join me, we can stop it.”
