The situation is alarming in the Dakar area, particularly in Khoudoss, Mboro, Ndomor, Taïba Ndiaye and other surrounding villages. The authorities are concerned by the urgency of the situation.

The population suffers from toxic gas emissions, as evidenced by several videos. These gases, coming from ICS (Chemical Industries of Senegal), are the cause of numerous diseases and seriously weaken the health of the inhabitants of these localities.

« Pollution alert: Emission of polluting cloudy gases

Today, around 1 p.m., videos captured significant fumes of polluting cloud gases emanating from the ICS facilities. These emissions appear to significantly exceed the authorized thresholds. This critical situation was reported to the relevant authorities, and the Director of Environmental Regulation was immediately informed.

It is committed to taking appropriate measures in collaboration with ICS services to remedy this situation and protect both public health and the environment.
