This Friday marks the last day of the trial of the four robbers who caused a shooting in downtown Cayenne. During the exchange of fire, one of the robbers was seriously injured. Transported to Cayenne hospital, he died there.
It was July 8, 2021. Five men were spotted by police officers on motorcycles in a vehicle, at the corner of Lallouette and Arago streets. The vehicle corresponds to the one used during a series of violent robberies in the previous days.
When they got closer, the police were fired upon. They fight back. One of the passengers in the car was injured. He died at Cayenne hospital.
Since Monday, the court has returned to the shooting and the robberies which preceded it, notably at the Le Wood restaurant in Cayenne.
-This Friday morning, life sentences for one and up to 18 years for the other three were requested by the Attorney General. Heavy sentences were required.
The verdict should come in the afternoon.
