SENEGAL-EDUCATION-SANTE / Kaffrine: pharmacy boxes offered to high schools in the region by the academy inspection – Senegalese press agency

Kaffrine, Jan 16 (APS) – The academy inspection (IA) of Kaffrine (center) handed over, on Thursday, to the various high schools in the region, a dozen medicine boxes for the rapid provision of first aid.

»When I took office, it was included in the handover document that the school medical inspectorate was responsible for assisting and caring for the health of students. Because the health of students is essential, we have given twelve medicine boxes to high schools in the region,” said Mamadou Niang, Kaffrine academy inspector.

He spoke at the end of the official ceremony of handing over the pharmacy boxes, in the presence of Doctor Thierno Djiby Sidibé, head of department of the regional supply pharmacy (PRA) of Kaffrine, representative of the Regional Director of Health (DRS ), among other actors.

Mr. Niang welcomed the support and support of the DRS and the PRA service, before announcing that all high schools in the region will be equipped with medicine boxes from this year. Middle education colleges will follow next year.

According to him, these boxes will be available to school heads, for the rapid provision of first aid once a student presents health difficulties, while waiting for him to be referred to the competent health structures.
