The streets of Gap were crowded on the evening of December 30. “Normal”, some Gapençais will say, “it’s the 30th! “. And this sometimes even means they don't celebrate the 31st… “We have to get over it! », explains Élodie, a regular at the event.
What is 30?
The 30 Laps has practically become a tradition in Gap: celebrating New Year's Eve one day before everyone else. And the establishments play the game, according to a circuit which started this year at the Antidote, before taking over the Ch'ti Bar then finishing at Porte Colombe between the Bistrot Gapençais and the Cave 42. All enhanced with a musical and festive atmosphere, which won over almost 8,000 people in 2024.
“It’s historic for this 8th edition of the 30 Tours “, say the organizers, who have relied on a great musical program: Zinzaïe, Louves du Groove (100% female collective), Darkside from Embrun and Passive Collective resonated in the streets. On the visual side, street art artists complemented the event, as did the Batucada to lead the fanfare from one place to another.
-New for this latest edition: 30 Tours has launched its own beer, “ this strengthens the identity of our event”. If the success is confirmed, new features are also being considered for the 2025 edition, “ we aim to expand and reinvent ourselves by integrating new places, collaborating with more artistic collectives and also offering more space to accommodate an ever-increasing audience ».
