A resident of Jausiers (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence) was sentenced this Tuesday to 18 months in prison following habitual violence against his partner.
Last Thursday, January 9 at the end of the day, the Jausiers gendarmerie surveillance and intervention squad (PSIG) went to the home of a couple following domestic violence.
The woman showed signs of being beaten, but her companion was on the run. He was finally arrested the next day and taken into custody. His partner was prescribed 10 days of ITT.
The companion sentenced to 18 months in prison
She denounced the usual violence that her partner had subjected her to until now. Brought before court on Saturday, he was placed in pre-trial detention pending his trial for immediate appearance on Tuesday.
