Thursday January 16, 2025, around fifty volunteers out of the 500 who work within the thirteen northern Finistère teams of the departmental delegation of Catholic Relief met in the Lyautey hall in Landivisiau, for the wish ceremony.
“Precious hands”
Every day, “these precious hands” as Didier Duriez, national president, points out in a brief video, do not spare themselves to offer an unconditional welcome to anyone in a precarious situation. “Individual welcome, home visits, the conviviality group, the solidarity shop, the solidarity grocery store, the solidarity café, or even micro credit, literacy courses are part of our missions and all this in a sole goal: to help people get through a difficult time to regain full autonomy. We support while keeping in mind that the person must be an actor in the process,” explains Evelyne André, departmental president.
Spring training in March
To train new volunteers or to enrich their skills, spring training is offered on Thursday March 20, Friday March 21 and Saturday March 22, 2025, at the Saint-Jacques center in Guiclan. Depending on their availability, volunteers will be able to participate in one or more workshops. The meeting will end with festive weather on Saturday afternoon.
Also note, a stay for the people welcomed accompanied by a few volunteers, i.e. 25 people who will head to Locquirec. And for 2025 again, the plea on the theme of mobility in Finistère, on which the animation council is working, should be delivered.
