The saga of the rescue of the Télé-Dôle company is experiencing yet another twist. After the failure of a referendum against the project last Fridayan appeal was filed with the Canton of Vaud. This has a suspensive effect which temporarily slows down the rescue plan.
The appeal against the decision of the Intercommunal Council to grant a credit of 2.6 million francs intended to save the ski lift company from bankruptcy was filed by the president of the referendum committee Alice Duvert, indicated this Thursday to the regional Nyon television channel NRTV Olivier Riesen, vice-president of Télé-Dôle SA, information also reported by “La Côte”.

“The appeal was filed at the end of last November with the General Directorate of Institutional Affairs and Municipalities (DGAIC), but we only learned of it in recent days,” he explains. “The effect is suspensive on the release of regional and cantonal funds, and therefore delays the progress of the project. We are completely waiting. We hope that it is only a matter of a few weeks and not several months,” he said.
Finalize ongoing developments
As a reminder, meeting on October 30 in St-Cergue, the Intercommunal Council of the Nyon Region largely voted in favor of a notice presenting financing solutions in order to perpetuate the tourist and sports equipment company which notably manages several lifts mechanical. The regional association is the majority shareholder (93%) of Télé-Dôle, itself based in Nyon.
Concretely, the investment credit aims to finalize the developments underway at La Dôle and move towards a four-season restructuring of the area. At the same time, the Vaud State Council announced aid of 2.56 million francs.
A referendum committee of half a dozen people, supported by the Vaudois Pirate Party (PPVD), decided to launch an intercommunal referendum, a first in the canton. He had until January 10, 2025 to collect 5,892 signatures, or 10% of the electorate of the 37 municipalities in the Nyon region, and thus get their citizens to vote. But last Friday, he informed that the collection of initials had failed. The ball is now in the legal court of the Vaud administration.
