While freezing temperatures plunge the Moroccan mountains into bitter cold, the national mobilization, through operation “Riaya 2024-2025”, continues. Launched by the Ministry of Health last November, the operation is part of efforts to guarantee the continuity of services and their proximity to residents of the most affected regions.
The cold snap, however, comes in a context of very low rainfall, where farmers’ concerns are growing and breeders have to buy imported foodstuffs at excessive prices.
Faced with multidimensional suffering, experts are calling for innovative, adapted and long-term solutions.
