Sunday January 12, the mayor, Gisèle Gimat, and the municipal council presented their wishes to the numerous residents, in the presence of Charlette Boué, vice-president of the departmental council, representatives of the community of communes of Gers Lomagne, Xavier Ballenghein (president), Aimée Pararols, Alain Scudellaro, Bernard Sanchez (vice-presidents) of Commander Arnoult of the gendarmerie group, of Lieutenant Grau, commander of the rescue center, mayors and representatives of associations.
The mayor returned to the village activities offered throughout 2024 by very active associations with, in particular, regular activities (dance, bingo, pétanque, belote competitions, etc.) and events such as the festival of Country Road, the 50th anniversary of the rugby club…
She then made a retrospective of municipal actions: in terms of the environment, the move of the Grappe d'Or club to rehabilitated premises, roads, work relating to energy savings, the redevelopment of the town hall , the installation of charging stations for vehicles, work on municipal buildings, etc.
Then, Gisèle Gimat listed some projects for 2025, which will be included in the first quarter gazette before discussing the files in co-management with the community of municipalities: the rehabilitation in 2024 of the school and the canteen, a major project funded by the CCLG, ongoing projects on the transfer of collective sanitation, the dike, the transfer of childhood skills, the management of the artisanal zone, the future PLUI, etc.
Before the speech by the elected guests and after her thanks to the associations, volunteers, gendarmerie, firefighters and presented her wishes to the population, Gisèle Gimat expressed a thought for all those who suffer and the deceased and wished that humanity who lives today in violence, finds peace and that everyone on our planet eats their fill and lives happily.
