Djim Dramé, Director of Religious Affairs and the integration of graduates in Arabic, reiterated this Thursday, January 16, 2025, the commitment of the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, to accompany and support religious centers across the country.
During a visit to the Dental Daaka mosque in Madina, located in Bopp, Djim Dramé explained that this initiative is part of a national tour aimed at strengthening relations between the State and religious guides. “The President of the Republic has made this mission a priority, going from Fouta Toro to Casamance, to listen and respond to the expectations of religious centers as well as graduates in Arabic,” he said.
The director stressed the importance of this rapprochement in a country where almost the entire population believes in God. He also invited religious centers to take ownership of this new direction so that it can function effectively.
The spokesperson for the religious family of Madina Gounass, present during the meeting, welcomed this initiative which, according to him, will strengthen the links between the different religious families.
Djim Dramé, holder of a doctorate in Arab-Islamic language and civilization and author of several works on Arab-Islamic education, assured that the management remains open to suggestions to better meet the needs of religious people.
