On the Guérande peninsula and in the La Baule region, the craze around running do not weaken. After the success of the Côte d'Amour marathon, which was held in November 2024, the 2,200 bibs of the 29th edition of Brière half marathon (March 16, 2025) left within 24 hours.

“It’s crazy!” In general, registrations are spread over several weeks,” confides Marietta Guibert-Deviens, responsible for communications at Esco, the Saint-André-des-Eaux athletics club organizing the event. Note that the half-marathon relay is also sold out.
However, there remains a small chance of participating in the qualifying race for the French championship, since a bib exchange is open.
The weekend program
- Saturday March 15: galloping at 2 p.m. and Nordic walking with or without poles at 2:30 p.m.
- Sunday March 16: half marathon at 10 a.m. (full), relay half marathon at 10 a.m. (full), and 5 km at 10:10 a.m.
