Morocco is “more than ever a country with potential” for French SMEs/SMIs and mid-sized companies (ETI).
According to the French economic and financial news daily “Les Echos”, the Kingdom which is “in full acceleration of its major infrastructure and energy transition projects, attracts foreign companies, particularly French”.
And to specify that in addition to local projects, the Kingdom positions itself as “a privileged gateway to Africa”.
Among the major projects, the French media cites the extension of the Tangier-Casablanca high-speed line, inaugurated in 2018, to Marrakech and for which construction is scheduled to be completed in 2030, as well as the highway linking Tiznit to Dakhla, completed in 2024.
The French media also cites “the emblematic” Tanger Med port, at the exit of the Strait of Gibraltar, which will soon be completed by two new port infrastructures: one a few kilometers from Dakhla, on the Atlantic coast of the Moroccan Sahara and the other in Nador, facing the Mediterranean.
All these projects, combined “with strong ambitions” of the Kingdom in terms of energy transition, attract entrepreneurs, including French ones, in the words of the French journalist.
At the same time, adds the same source, Moroccan higher education “grows in power”recalling that in 2024, the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), which has a branch in , joined the Top 500 universities in the ranking of « Times Higher Education ».
