Make your contribution to the restoration of the L’Orée museum

-Forez agglomeration (LFA) and the Heritage Foundation have launched a collection to help finance the renovation of the Grenadières museum, in Cervières. Objective, to raise 10,000 euros from the general public.

Work on the future Grenadières museum, in Cervières, began on October 10, in the heart of the building which formerly hosted summer camps. The finalization of the structural work is planned for the month of April and the end of this impressive project is planned for the end of the year. Elected officials hope to be able to inaugurate L’Orée, the name chosen for this museum, in January 2026.

The vice-president in charge of Culture within the Loire-Forez agglomeration, Évelyne Chouvier, recalled, “this project is part of a desire to highlight the rich textile heritage of the Forez region and, at the same time, beyond that, the know-how and particularities of this territory. »

The scenographic content is being developed and work is underway to collect testimonies from the Grenadières “to keep a trace of what these ladies experienced”.

On January 14, elected officials presented an agreement signed with the Heritage Foundation, represented by its territorial delegate, Pierre Magat. A collection was launched to raise 10,000 euros to help finance this XXL project estimated at four million euros; a choice which may seem surprising given the expected amount, which is ultimately modest compared to the investment. “We wanted to involve the public so that those who wish can show their attachment to this local heritage,” argues Évelyne Chouvier.

Pierre Magat, who presents himself as a “lover of beauty”, expressed his pride in “associating the Heritage Foundation with this beautiful project”. Concretely, this entity will pay an additional euro for each euro donated. This collection is open on the Heritage Foundation website for a period of three years.

In practice. Each donation is tax deductible up to 66% up to 20% of taxable income. More information on the website www.fondation-patrimoine.org/les-projets/loree
